Would providing a direct external link to large scale nautical charts of Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne, be considered spamming ? The charts are displayed online under licence from the UKHO. It would enhance coverage to be able to view these up to date charts. Sjbryant (talk) 15:56, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article should have a map of the harbour. In the absence of a public domain map, your suggestion sounds like a valid use of an external link. Without seeing the web page you are proposing, it is impossible to say if other editors may regard it as spamming - there is a difference between a page with a chart, and a page full of adverts which also hosts a chart. The answer is be bold and add the link. As a bit of advice, if you do add a link put as per talk page in the comment just to stop anyone blindly reverting. Housing numbers[edit]

Removed the following text from the main page. Adding to the discussion here as it may be relevant to future editors: "According To Judith and Richard this estimate is woefully short. I believe Richard and Judith when they say nearer 15,000 homes." 62.105.189.2 (talk) 11:19, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
