Bam Margera[edit]

I think the "Bam Margera" line at the end of the article is totally absurd. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.151.226.137 (talkcontribs)

I absolutely love the irony of the ballerina icon in {{dance-stub}}. --Connel MacKenzie - wikt 00:44, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sid Wilson, unable to land[edit]

"Unable to land"? What exactly does that mean? 140.147.160.78 18:49, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza[reply]

Morrison as the originator[edit]

I thought Jim Morrison did the stage dive before Iggy Pop did. I think it's pretty well documented in Doors bios, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.128.253.122 (talk) 13:59, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I also read this in the Morrison biography of Riordan & Prochnicky (James Riordan, Jerry Prochnicky: Break on Through. The Life and Death of Jim Morrison. William Morrow, New York 1991. ISBN 0-688-08829-5) recently but was not able to find the precise page in their voluminous book again. Riordan/Prochnicky mention Morrison falling into the audience from 1966 on casually on pages 100, 139, 250-251. There was another passage in their book, though, where they actually claim that Morrison did this as the first one. Does anyone recall the passage in that book? --Diggindeeper (talk) 10:33, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blythe tangents[edit]

I think that Randy Blythe's trial is okay to be mentioned, but details about the trial are unrelated to the core of this article. At the very least, add it in as a parenthetical, or maybe create a sub-section about the dangers of stage diving; but as the article stands right now, the Blythe bit is a bit of a tangent. - 99.181.48.81 (talk) 14:04, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Randy Blythe inclusion?[edit]

I'm wondering whether the Randy Blythe incident should be included at all, or perhaps moved to a different section/subsection.

What happened *wasn't* an accidental stage-diving/crowd-surfing injury (e.g. one caused by a diver/surfer falling or injuring someone underneath them), but rather Blythe intentionally assaulting a fan and pushing him violently off the stage.

It is possible that the fan may have intended to dive/surf, so there could be a tangential connection there, but it doesn't really fit with the other examples in that section....It would be like if there were an article with a section on the dangers of skiing and snowboarding, which listed notable incidents of injuries/deaths, and then included one where somebody wasn't skiing or snowboarding at all but had simply been violently pushed down a ski slope. -2003:CA:83C8:F800:6829:E73C:5AE9:68E2 (talk) 13:17, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
