I'm not really sure what's the best name for this: probably either "DJ Steveboy" or the current name of "Steve Boyett" (which is used eg. on the djsteveboy.com site). "Steven R. Boyett" seems unnecessarily formal. Jpatokal 06:21, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Boyett no longer goes by "dj steveboy"; it was a conflation of his first and last name (which few people realized) and was intended as a self-effacing joke (which no one got). All references on his site (except for the URL) are now to "dj steve boyett." He has primarily published as "Steven R. Boyett;" it is worth noting that his "collaboration" with Alan Aldridge (Boyett wrote the novel), THE GNOLE, is the only published work listed as "Steve Boyett," perhaps a subtle indicator he does not fully endorse the work. TOY STORY 2 was written as "Steve Boyett" as well; though Boyett created the character of Jessie, gave the film its current structure, contributed key sequences (including the WOODIE'S ROUNDUP sequences), and left an indelible mark, unlike other, less-contributing writers on the film he was not a Disney or Pixar employee but a freelancer, and was denied credit by Disney (about which he is still bitter; see various interviews). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.231.147.210 (talk) 08:45, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
