Hello everyone,

A few months ago I added a structured settlement factoring discount rate calculator link to the discount rate section of the Structured settlement factoring transaction page.

A month later an individual created an account and has been undoing my edit, removing the link.

Here are my thoughts on why this calculator is vital to this page.

1) Annuitants, judges, financial professionals and others do not have a practical way to calculate the discount rate of a structured settlement factoring transaction.

2) Structured settlement factoring transactions have received a bad rap in the past because of the future value vs present value math equation most people use to calculate price (i.e. simple math vs. discount rate).

3) The individual (Factoring 10) stated that the website where the calculator is shown is a commercial site. Comment: It looks like you can take this calculator's code and place it on another website (non commercial- future option)

a) This website http://structuredsettlements.typepad.com/structured_settlements_4r/structured-settlement-factoring-discount-rate-calculator.html appears to have the same calculator as the original and is a blog from an authority figure in the primary market. Should we provide a link to this page?

b) Can we find another venue (website) to place this calculator so annuitants, judges, and financial professionals will have access to it?

Any comments will be helpful on this matter.
