- Any reason that the information about what a swami gimmick actually IS, was deleted? I think that it's very useful! I know that magicians don't like this sort of detail to be too easily available, but if someone knows what it's called, they should have access to the details.
Here's the deleted part: It is also known as a "nail writer". It is any device used to covertly write information down for the purpose of creating the illusion of precognition or telepathy. They are commonly available from magic shops, and often consist of a small pencil lead held in a clear plastic sleeve that can be fitted over the thumb.
