Co-chariman v deputy leader
[edit]Anime King This source (the first citation on this page) when translated to English calls Takashi Kawamura the Conservative Party of Japan's Co-Chairman. Per WP:SYNTH we go with what sources explicitly state. Helper201 (talk) 16:08, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- What source are you referring to? The yahoo page gives an error. Do you have an archived link? Anime King (talk) 17:26, 30 March 2024 (UTC)

- The phrase 共同代表 is used in other Japanese parties such as Ishin, with 共同代表 also being used in their respective Japanese wikipedia page. However, on english wikipedia, Hirofumi Yoshimura, Ishin's 共同代表 is labeled as 'Deputy leader,' so I'm guessing there is some sort of difference from other democracies where in Japan, a "co-leader" doesn't necessarily mean an equal to the party leader, but more of their deputy. This explanation holds some weight when all of the Conservative Party's posters, images and advertisements (also their X account profile picture) primarily show Naoki Hyakuta (and sometimes their co-founder Kaori Arimoto) only, and not with Kawamura despite being the "co-leader."
