Do I get the impression that this page was put here for the self-promotion of a cult of some kind?

Werner Hebdidge.

I cannot tell if you get that impression or not.... But it wasn't. It was put up to explain a concept of God.

Alot of the article just looks like arguments and material taken straight from the Kybalion. Also, there are alot of cite tags that have been here for some time now. I'm about to remove the statements alltogether. SynergeticMaggot 23:25, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

--Agreed, and in the Kybalion it even states that the All is NOT compelled to act, as that would mean a force that acts independently of the all, destroying the philosophical conception of the all. This page is riddled with incorrect statements.

Hey guys.... I may be really sleepy but that first line doesnt make sense to me at all...

The All is the Hermetic version of God, to some and not to others.

It seems like the statement is contradicting itself. Is The All the hermetic version of god, or only to some hermetic followers? As a matter of fact, that sentence does not seem to be proper grammar, aside from making the point vague and obscure. I dont know how it should read to fix it myself.

--I think one distinction to make here is that of a spiritual interpretation of the all, most relatable to God, and a philosophical distinction of the all, most relatable to the force of existence. That is why, it is God to at least some, but not all.

--I am the domain owner of and I am planning to create (no pun intended;) a site that will include all sorts of information on religion and other sorts of fantastic things. Stay tuned!

"The All" isn't the sole property of 19thC Occultism[edit]

Why exactly is this page about recent occultism and 19th C Hermeticism when the term "The All" has a philosophical legacy that goes back to Plato and Aristotle, at the very least? —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 18:00, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

It also goes into the 1st century BCE hermetic texts KV(Talk) —Preceding comment was added at 21:04, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

I agree. I think that this article is too focused on The Kybalion and its contents. -- (talk) 02:24, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
