I think the rationale is that the band and their label considered it an album. While the running time also suggests it is an EP, the number of songs suggests an album. I also think consideration must be given to the fact that historically it has always been considered an album. The fact that the previous release, the 7-inch 45 RPM Paranoid Time EP, is shorter in many ways would explain why the Punch Line has been considered an album. Worth noting too, is that Project Mersh is consider an EP even though it is 7 minutes longer. It would seem that Project Mersh having only six-songs is why it is considered an EP.
Whatever the decision is, there should be consistency between this page and the Minutemen article where the article lists it as an LP and the discography lists it as an EP. Nomadic Tribesman (talk) 23:20, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
