I'm pleased that this landmark article is getting a Wikipedia page, and the text here does a lot to lay out the substance of the article. In general, this article very effectively summarizes the text, though in certain places it does so in a way that departs from the encyclopedic voice generally practiced on Wikipedia. What follow are some suggestions about how to improve the article:

Amplify the lead in away that lists the main contributions of the article in the second sentence, including… introducing the concept of the sex/gender system, arguably founding the field of gender studies, and presenting a theory of how gender relations and concepts of sex change over time. But this before "Building upon…" Also cite every phrase in the sentence.
Make sure that the lead of the article explains the notability of "The Traffic in Women." There are few Wikipedia articles on journal articles, so you have to make the case. Consider this Google Books search for "the traffic in women is" for second hand validation.

Pull some of the reception section into the lead, while keeping most of the details above.
These phrases feel more like an essay and less like an encyclopedia article to me:
- Rubin's goal in the article is to
- she then brings in the work of
- Rubin wants to also highlight
"Lévi-Strauss" is the appropriate last name.
Reception and criticism feels light on criticism and others' engagement with the work. (example) Similarly, the one thing left out here is who Rubin is writing to contest. In particular, analyzing "the root of male oppression" is a significant topic that she attempted to engage in.
