Talk:Theo Jörgensmann Quartet

The Theo Jörgensmann Quartet is the one and only German Free Jazz group which performed twice at Festivals Vancouver and Montreal. This is reason enough to be in. I dont`t know what kind of musical education you have and how much musical overview. But it looks not really serious. If you want to do something good to Free Jazz, please try to write an article about it, instead of acting unseriously. This article which exists is unusefull now. It is full of second hand stereotypes and less origin information. I´ll miss musicians and groups of younger people; the references are 30 years old; nothing about the loftscene with Sam Rivers RivBea and John Fischers Environ were musicians gave more than thousands of concerts: no historical connection, for example, not only Coltrane and Coleman were the Godfathers of Punk, but also Bolden and Amstrong; and and and............. It's not a question of the quartet's importance, but why does it need a separate page? There's already an extensive page on Theo Jörgensmann himself.

O.K. I agree with your argumentation, but you should take a look on your own Paul Plimley article. The first part is clearly self-serving and not written from a neutral point of view. 19:15, 13. Nov. 2006 (CET)

"Self-serving" means "self-promoting/flattering". I'm not Plimley nor do I have any personal or professional relation to him (aside from having enjoyed his music). If you feel like discussing the page further or editing it, then head to Paul Plimley. --ND 22:23, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
