A Few Notes[edit]

I've made seperate sections for each episode in line with the Season 1-3 pages so that if anyone wants to edit an episode they can. Also, I can't for the life of me remember seeing Diesel in this season. Can anyone tell me in which episode he appeared and where? Otherwise, the note regarding him will have to be removed. Thanks. Thehalford 21:42, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The only time Diesel "appears" is in Rusty to the Rescue, and that's not a 'real' appearance of Diesel, as it's only Diesel's model, not his character, which appears. As such, no diesels (apart from Rusty) appear in this episode. Gonzerelli 06:40, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Character links[edit]

Please note that simply putting the character's name into square brackets (ie. "Thomas") is not sufficient, and will not link to the corect page. I've taken the time to show how to link to all characters below:

 • THOMAS: Thomas
 • EDWARD: Edward
 • HENRY: Henry
 • GORDON: Gordon
 • JAMES: James
 • PERCY: Percy
 • TOBY: Toby
 • DUCK: Duck
 • DONALD: Donald
 • DOUGLAS: Douglas
 • DONALD & DOUGLAS (both): Donald and Douglas
 • EMILY: Emily

ALL OTHER ENGINES: <name>. NOTE: this includes Narrow Gauge engines!

eg. SKARLOEY: Skarloey

 • THE FAT CONTROLLER: The Fat Controller
 • BERTIE: Bertie
 • TERENCE: Terence
 • TREVOR: Trevor
 • HAROLD: Harold

ALL OTHER CHARACTERS: link to any of the other TV Series character pages (ie. Rolling stock (Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends), Non-rail vehicles (Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends), Minor Characters (Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends), etc).

eg. ELIZABETH: Elizabeth

Please follow this format when adding characters to episode descriptions.

Superfluous content[edit]

Superfluous content has been popping up fairly regularly in this article and others recently. Please see WikiProject Thomas for further discussion on this.

Superfluous edits include: Goofs, "first time we see X's angry face", appearances of non-character rolling stock, and other such additions. Superfluous comments such as these detract from the article significantly, and will be removed or reverted.

Last Appearances (thus far)[edit]

Several times over the last few weeks, unregistered users have consistently edited notes such as Last appearance of <character> (thus far) by adding a date to the end of the particular note. Given that these dates are from future seasons, they cannot be confirmed and as such will continue to be reverted. Thehalford 03:05, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bulls' Eyes[edit]

Shouldn't it be noted that Bulls Eyes takes place between Daisy and Percy's Predicament although the latter stories were made in season 2? Jienum 19:52, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, no. The TV Series does not correspond exactly with the Railway Series (hence WP:THOMAS' major objective of clear deliniation between TV Series and Railway Series). By memory, there is nothing within the episode itself to suggest the episode took place between the two Season 2 episodes - not even a reference to Thomas being mended at the works. So, no, it shouldn't be noted. Gonzerelli 00:53, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Featuring / Introducing[edit]

If a character is "introduced", they must also be "featured". This is now a "rule" across articles for all seasons. For WP:THOMAS, Gonzerelli 06:58, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

_[edit]

This is an example of a superfluous comment. I'm not arguing its "correctness", but it would not add anything to the article if it was included. It may be of interest to avid fans of the series, but this kind of information belongs on a fan site, not an encyclopedia. See WP:THOMAS/FAQ for more info on this.

Sorry about that i'll delete it right away and by the way, how do I create my own fan site can you help me.CourtneyBonnick 01:30, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone explain to me why the end date under the original release bar is November 20, 1995 yet the last episode's original air date in the episode tab says May 30, 1995? NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 03:45, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Because no-one has been able to find a reliable source on airdates, so they're all over the place and have been for more than fifteen years. IMDb doesn't count, because they're often very wrong on these matters. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 09:57, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. I also noticed that the dates listed on the series 7 page under the original release dates bar was very different from all the individual dates in the episodes tab. NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 20:19, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I believe someone put a bullet point in the episodes section of the Series 8 page on As Good as Gordon that says it was the 200th episode of the show and that one was one was on the page way before my edit to this page and I don't believe it was taken down at all. Rusty to the rescue[edit]

If Boco cameoed in the episode Rusty to the rescue (in which he didn't they only use his body) then how could he mention Oliver and it was Rusty was mentioned Oliver and I have seen this episode many times so I did not vandalise anything.C.bonnick 15:17, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Colour contrast problems[edit]

It seems that this article is using colours in the infobox which don't satisfy Wikipedia's accessibility guidelines. The contrast between the foreground colour and the background colour is low, which means that it may be difficult or impossible for people with visual impairments to read it.

To correct this problem, a group of editors have decided to remove support for invalid colours from Template:Infobox television season and other television season templates after 1 September 2015. If you would still like to use custom colours for the infobox and episode list in this article after that date, please ensure that the colours meet the WCAG AAA standard.

To test whether a colour combination is AAA-compliant you can use Snook's colour contrast tool. If your background colour is dark, then please test it against a foreground colour of "FFFFFF" (white). If it is light, please test it against a foreground colour of "000000" (black). The tool needs to say "YES" in the box for "WCAG 2 AAA Compliant" when you input the foreground and the background colour. You can generally make your colour compliant by adjusting the "Value (%)" fader in the middle box.

Please be sure to change the invalid colour in every place that it appears, including the infobox, the episode list, and the series overview table. If you have any questions about this, please ask on Template talk:Infobox television season. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 05:31, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
