I also agree with the merge. Tavilis 07:55, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
I do agree. Pasarea Phoenix, Phoenix, Transsylvania Phoenix are all names for the legendary romanian rock band. Mihai Dragomirescu 21:03, 21 August 2006 (GMT) Please pay attention, the name of one of the songs is Pavel Cneazul (Paul, the ancient ruler) not Chinezul (Paul the Chinese ???? WTF? No such thing) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.203.68.10 (talk) 14:33, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- actually it IS Pavel Chinezu, not Cneazu. That's the original name of the song. If you don't believe me check out the back of the Mugur de fluier record ([1]. Chinez is an archaic form of the word cneaz and it has nothing to do with the contemporary word which means chinese. So basically, if you don't know what you're talking about, don't. - I modified the song title from "Pavel Chinezul" (Pavel the Chinese) as it wrong appeared, into the correct one "Pavel Cneazul" (Pavel the Czar, or the Emperor, the Prince, there is no English word to reflect exact translation to be according with the meaning of the song). On their original disk it was a printing mistake, the chores of the song says "Pavele, cneazule" (Pavel, ye the ruler!), Nicu Covaci comented that at the time, it seems that you don't know what you are talking about :D
I'd like to say, as an American, that this is one of my favorite bands of all time. I wish the whole Mesterul Manole work could be released, since that track is so good. But maybe it wasn't all recorded. If it was, though, I'd love to see it released. I also hate that there's a crappy English band taking their name. Magmagoblin2 (talk) 17:55, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
This article is so loaded with political (anti communist, whatever) bull. Look, whatever pressures where put on them, the result was that they created the most important rock songs of their generation. They emigrated, all right and they were finally free AND what?? Nothing followed!! Si please, think a little before victimizing them so much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.113.207.150 (talk) 03:12, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Phe2.jpg
[edit]Image:Phe2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:15, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Illegal crossing of the border in Communist Romania did NOT carry the death penalty. That is misinformation, sorry. --Mycomp 14:51, 17 October 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mycomp (talk • contribs)
