Common Person[edit]

The Common Person believes that all five movies are sequels to one another. After all, these people thought there was time travel in Pulp Fiction! Sierraoffline444 (talk) 19:17, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That is not the cover of Universal Soldier Regeneration. It's a fan made one. Please change it to the official cover. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.48.66.87 (talk) 11:07, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be renamed to "franchise"[edit]

Boy, I'm really misreading this article. Okay, upon reconsidering things, it appears to refer to the Universal Soldier *franchise* which is to say all the films/tv movies/whatever stemming from that 1992 Roland Emmerich original theatrical release. I had mistaken it (I guess) to refer to the pair of direct-to-video movies as a television series. As well there is some uncited text about how they were supposed to be the "back door" to a television series, as well there is some uncited text about current 2011 effort to make a television series. I propose to retitle the article "Universal Soldier (franchise)." That's the way the Terminator article does it. DanielM (talk) 14:45, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, let's try this again[edit]

@MSENDER007: Why have you edited back the plot cruft again and stuff about canon and non-canon without providing any source for it actually being so? It appears to be original research unless you actually provide references.★Trekker (talk) 08:33, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Continuity section[edit]

The continuity section should be eliminated. It's just repeating the information that's already mentioned in the overview, with pretty much the same tables. Plus, the section isn't properly formatted. Thief12 (talk) 13:53, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Universal Soldier (franchise) → ? – Seems more like a film series than a full fledged franchise. ★Trekker (talk) 10:16, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • move to Universal Soldier (film series) - Its not really a franchise because the video game and other media are tie-ins, not new works. I found myself debating whether this film series was primary, and between the musical works and the first film of the series, I don't think it is. So (film series) is what we'd use per WP:NCFILM#Film series. This also reverts what looks like was an undiscussed move in 2015. -- Netoholic @ 08:12, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weakish support for Universal Soldier (film series). I think a case can be made that "franchise" is correct, but the non-film media entries seem pretty ancillary, so "film series" is probably a little better. --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:56, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
