Who is Winterbottom?[edit]

Who is this named after? None of the Winterbottoms I can find on Wikipedia were doctors.

According to slide 7 of this PDF doc (http://www4.nau.edu/shustercourses/BIO475/Documents/LecturePDFs/2006/Lec05.pdf) it is named after the British officer that noticed it. ponyo (talk) 22:04, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
