On 7/14/2005, the United States government refused tourist entry for Dr. Badawi, stating that he was listed on a terrorism watch list. Is there any negative information on him that might justify such a refusal?

It says here on page 25 of The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins that this individual provided sanctuary for Salman Rushdie after a fatwa was issued for Rushdie. Can anyone put anything about that, or would that be yellow journalism?
