"Section is the optional section within the Talk page"[edit]

I am having difficulty in making the Section syntax of the [discuss] template do what I want it to do. There is no information in this Template Article on how to use this (examples). Thus, I am not only asking for assistance, but also for clarification within this template article.

I will provide an example: I found an issue in The Ren & Stimpy Show article. I wrote a new section in that article's Talk page. Now, I'm adding the [discuss] tag to the section of the article I'm trying to bring attention to. However, I can't seem to make the Section syntax link to the new section in the article's talk page. I've tested different ways to type the article link and previewed the results, but it continues to default to the top of the Talk page instead. What do I need to do to link to the new section on the Talk page?
