In the template, there is a comment saying

<!-- Please don't try any includeonly or noinclude:subst tricks here, they won't work! Please make your case on the talk page. -->

While I don't really know what this means, I have used <includeonly> in three very similar templates, PhyWelcome, PhyWelcome-reg, and PhyWelcome-anon (which I basically just copied and modified slightly from these three templates), only that I haven't used subst, but I have used safesubst instead, see Help:Substitution#safesubst. —Kri (talk) 02:11, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
