Intended use?[edit]

This edit looks to me like a liability. Is this how the template is supposed to be used? - Jmabel | Talk 06:10, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Delete, deprecate, or fix[edit]

While editing Burying in Woollen Acts, I encountered this template and discovered it was generating {{dead link}}s. I replaced the specific use I encountered with {{cite web}} and an archiveurl. I don't know if the template is used enough to make it worth being fixing. 72.244.206.254 (talk) 01:16, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I created this template back when Bartleby.com added the complete text of The Encyclopedia of World History Sixth Edition to their site as an online resource. My thinking was that, such a resource would become used on many Wikipedia pages, and the template would make such citations easy and consistent. However, Bartleby.com took the content down after a while (I do not know why) and it does not look like it's coming back.
So the template can, and probably should, be deleted, with any remaining usage being converted to Cite Book. —MJBurrage(TC) 18:19, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
