Thompson is an unincorporated community in Audrain County, Missouri. It is located six miles west of Mexico on Route 22. It was named for a family of early settlers.[1] At one time there were two gas stations located in Thompson: Gifford's Shell station and Holshieser's. There is a gas station "Dawsons Country Store" which is located in the building originally known as Holshieser's, a Post Office (65285), Hopewell Baptist Church and an independent cemetery.
