LOHAS Park (Chinese: 康城,[1] Cantonese pronunciation: [hɔ́ːŋ sɪ̏ŋ]) is a rapid transit station on the Tseung Kwan O Line of the MTR system in Hong Kong. It opened on 26 July 2009, and is one of the newest stations on the MTR network.

The station serves a residential project called LOHAS Park (formerly called Dream City) located at Area 86. The first tenders for the construction of Phase 1 of the project were completed in January 2005. Built adjacent to the Tseung Kwan O Line Depot, it is currently the easternmost railway station in Hong Kong.
[edit] Transit-oriented development
In accordance with both MTR's "Rail + Property" funding scheme as well as one of the goals of the Tseung Wan Line, to connect large housing estates on the eastern side of Victoria Habour to Hong Kong Island, LOHAS Park is a site for transit-oriented development. Of all of MTR's property developments, LOHAS Park will be the largest, a 32.08 ha (79.3 acres) site with 50 towers containing 21,500 apartments and approximately 45,000 m2 (480,000 sq ft) of retail upon completion.[2]

During the construction stages, the station was temporarily named Tseung Kwan O South, after its geographical location in the southern part of the Tseung Kwan O New Town.[3]
Since the station opened, the Tseung Kwan O Line was split into two branches at Tseung Kwan O, with the original northern branch running towards Po Lam, and the new southern branch running towards LOHAS Park. This is the second branch on any line in the MTR system, after Lok Ma Chau Station on the East Rail Line.
[edit] Service controversy
The opening of LOHAS Park station required trains on the Tseung Kwan O Line to split after Tseung Kwan O station, whereas before most either terminated en route or at the sole eastern terminus, Po Lam. To accommodate for this change, MTR institute a "3+1" service policy whereby trains would be signalled into groups of four, three of which would consecutively run to Po Lam, while the fourth would diverge and head south to LOHAS Park.[4] During non-peak hours as well as Sundays, a shuttle train between LOHAS Park and Tiu Keng Lang stations would operate, requiring passengers to switch at the latter station.
Although MTR compensated for the slight reduction of service by decreasing headways throughout the line by ten seconds to 2.5 minutes, residents and passengers have complained that the branched nature of the line has increased delays because of track switch problems. However, MTR claims that its on time rate is still 99.9%.[5]

There are two platforms which form an island platform arrangement. Like the other underground MTR stations, platform screen doors have been installed.

There are three entrances/exits in the station. One of them will lead to the public transport interchange located adjacent to the station, while the remaining two will lead to LOHAS Park residential development. Exit B has not been built yet and it is reserved for future use.
