AJ Angelique is the pen name of American born young adult author and web comic creator, Amanda(Angel) Jean Wilkinson.

Born in South Carolina, Amanda then moved up to New York for a few select years, only to move down between Florida then back to New York and finally out to Oklahoma in 2000 where she resided until January 2012.

After moving to Norman, Oklahoma in 2000, Amanda made quick friends with co-workers, fellow writers and others interested in the fantasy and science fiction community. Among those friends, she took on two new 'sisters' that helped influence her characters, Dana and Anya. The three became inseparable and from 2006 until 2012, Amanda and Dana resided in a two bedroom apartment with their two beloved cats, Aragorn and Ulysses.

Many of her stories were often influenced through people she knew in real life, stories she'd grown up with as a child and events she attended. Amanda would spend hours on her computer, typing up her stories, writing down notes in small books all over the apartment and attending book signings at the local Hastings store. (Her books can still be found in this store for sale, proceeds going to her sister, Dana)

As author Aj Angelique, Amanda had many loyal followers of her cosplay, art, books and web comics, many that would travel from hours away to her book signings.

In December 2011, Amanda was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian Cancer and hospitalized. She passed away at Ou Medical center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 24th, 2012 surrounded by family and friends.*

'Bodies of Work'

Rose Petals and Ash - A horror/thriller story for young adults, tells the story of a sixteen year old girl named Rose who moves to Domestique, Oklahoma where she learns the local legend of the serial killer who terrorized the county back in the 60s. But shortly after moving into the old home of the killer's last victims, Rose soon discovers that something dark is hunting the people of Domestique.

Lady Cy - A sci-fi story for young adults, tells the story of a young girl named Catherine who in the year 3020, is stolen away from her star base and taken to a secret laboratory where she is turned into a cybernetic warrior. After escaping from the lab, she is found by a secret group that informs her of a secret war brewing between man and machine. Ultimately, it is Catherine's amazing powers as Lady Cy that will bring and end to this war before it destroys before sides.

Angel W - A modern fantasy adventure based in Oklahoma City about a 16 year old girl named Angelica Rose who must become a magical warrior once again in order to stop Dark Lord and his high court from finding the Dark Chalice and bringing the Dark Ages back to the entire world.

Web Comics

Chaos Factory - Chaos Factory is a web comic about a human girl named Alicia who lives with five faeries named Anyanka, Sakura, Terra, Cassandra and Dawn, her werewolf cousin Stephen, his vampire friend Frederick and two cats named Sushi and Tobacco. The series is currently run as one page skits that are updated weekly around the weekends.*

AJ Angelique is the sole artist of Chaos Factory and works on the webcomic for mainly for fun, so there are no plans to publish this comic in the near future.*

AJ Angelique was also known online as The Mad Seamstress, here she sewed and sold doll clothes of her own creation.

AJ's other interests include Cosplay, Asian Ball Jointed dolls, traveling by train and her favorite book is Alice in Wonderland.
