I am a professional engineer and PhD scientist who has worked in the USA's manned space program since 1966. I am still a very serious fan of modern science fiction prose. I am also a movie 'buff' but not a film expert. I take great interest in the presentation of modern science fiction as serious drama stage and film, even tho it is rare and ,in general, with rare exceptions, bares little in common with the serious prose form.
