Amaris is an international Technologies and Management Consulting Group headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with nearly 1510 employees throughout the world. The group has more than 55 locations in 40 countries.[2]. Amaris's services included consulting activities in IT, strategy and outsourcing in 5 domains: business and management[3], information technologies and information systems[4], engineering and high technology, telecommunications, biotechnology and pharmacy.[5][6][2].

History[edit]

Amaris was created in Geneva in 2007[7]. Originally, it was offering organizational consulting for the banking sector. The group created an international network after five years.[1].

In 2012, Amaris made an acquisition of Thales Information Systems Austria. The acquisition allowed it to expand its scope to 27 countries and open its gate to the market of cloud computing [1]. Qloudwise, the portal for Amaris customer to the company cloud solutions and support, was launched in March 2012 in Austria[8].

The American multinational corporation Cisco named Amaris a “Managed Advanced Partner" for its branch in Austria with the specialization "Infrastructure as a Service" in 2013 [9]. Later that year, Amaris made a new acquisition: the Italian subsidiary of Thales SAP. The acquisition was annouced on early 2014.[7] In November, Olivier Brourhant, CEO of Amaris, was part of the delegation of business leaders who accompany the President of the French Republic during his official visit to Canada [2].

In a national ranking established by Challenges magazine, Amaris is listed as part of the strongest recruiters in 2015.[citation needed]
