About me: I'm a History specialist at the Indiana Historical Bureau, a state agency that has been providing publications, programs, and other opportunities for Indiana citizens to learn and teach about the history of their communities and the state of Indiana since 1915. I'm also IHB's Website Manager.

I'm involved in Wikipedia primarily as an outgrowth of our agency's mission. We recognize that individuals seeking information about Indiana and Indiana History generally find Wikipedia articles first, and I check wiki pages on topics we're receiving research requests about to add sources where they are missing and check to make sure the information is reflective of recent scholarship.
