From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm a student at Everett Community College. I have many hobbies that have to do with being outdoors such as, dirt-biking, snowmobiling and horse-back riding. These are all things that I have grown up doing and couldn't imagine living without. I started riding when I was three years old and it has become my life's passion. I live here in Western Washington but spend as much time as I can over in Eastern Washington where I enjoy much of my hobbies.

Article Critique[edit]

I visited the Ronald WA page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: that the article does not give much information on any of the sections, all the citations are 6 years or older, and the climate only talks about the summer and not about the winter weather.

Information[edit]

I looked at the Wikipedia pages of the towns near Ronald, Rosyln and Cle Elum. Bother of their pages give a good amount of information on each of the sections that are talked about in the articles, like the climate and history sections.

Citations[edit]

Looking at all the citations on Ronald's Wikipedia page there is a total of five references. The oldest dated reference is from 2008 and the newest reference is from 2011, therefore making all of the references 6 years or older. This article could definitely use some new and improved citations with updated references.

Climate[edit]

The climate section on Ronald's Wikipedia page briefly states something about "warm (but not hot) and dry summers". It does not state anything about winter or the other two seasons. I feel like the article should give the history of the lowest and highest temperature and the dates at which they were recorded.

Summary[edit]

Overall, I believe the page to be poorly written. You can clearly see that not much time in effort has been put into this page. It is very brief in the descriptions it has given and needs more information about the topics of the page as well. The article only has three main topics; geography, climate and demographics. There is definitely more to add to this article, possible a little bit about the history of the town. Even though Ronald is a smaller town it has way more to offer than what is shown on the Ronald Wikipedia page.
