Explanations[edit]

See main article Pi.

§ Pi—Pi is the mathematical constant that describes the ratio between a circle's circumference and diameter. Some persons believe that Pi should be replaced with Tau (see § Tau under "Explanations"). Pi is represented by the Greek symbol π and is approximately equal to 3,1415926535 (where the ',' represents the decimal commencing, to avoid confusion with the end of this sentence)

See article about the Greek letter Tau. Or an article about Tau Day.

§ Tau—Tau is a value that describes the ratio between a circle's circumference and its radius. Tau is represented by the Greek symbol τ and is exactly equal to two times the value of Pi (see § Pi under "Explanations").
