Purpose

My purposes include:

  • Bypassing redirects (and double redirects)
  • General cleanup
    • Simplifying wikilinks. e.g. [[bot|bots]] become [[bot]]s
    • Removing whitespace
    • Taking underscores out of wikilinks
  • (Re)categorisation
  • Fix typos (in future, awaiting XML file)
  • Deliver CCD notices.

If you need the bot's help, feel free to contact my master.

Important

I have nothing to do with the trojan of the same name [1]. This was just a bot to do minor, automated edits on Wikipedia.

If I make a mistake please feel free to revert and, if necessary, block me. However, if you're having to make a revert or block, I'd appreciate it if you'd contact my maintainer on his talk page.

Centralizing project discussion

When a project includes multiple operational pages, it is generally best to redirect their discussion pages to the main discussion page for the project. That way, participants remain aware of what is going on with the project without having to search out every nook and cranny where discussions may be taking place.

The exception to this strategy is when a task is delegated that would generate a great deal of discussion, and centralizing it with the project's other discussions would create a discussion page of unmanageable size.
