Miley Cyrus is an American recording artist and actress. The daughter of Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, she first gained notability starring in the lead role of Miley Stewart on the Disney Channel Original Series, Hannah Montana, starring in the series from 2006 to 2011. During her time on the series, Cyrus was nominated for numerous Young Artist Awards. Cyrus has released several studio albums under the Hannah Montana title, which include Hannah Montana (2006), Hannah Montana 2 (2007), Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009), Hannah Montana 3 (2009), and Hannah Montana Forever (2010). The soundtracks have earned Cyrus awards at the Teen Choice Awards, among others.
Aside from Hannah Montana she has released three solo studio albums, Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), which was released in conjuncion with Hannah Montana 2, as well as Breakout (2008), Can't Be Tamed (2010), and the extended play The Time of our Lives (2009). From these projects, he songs such as "See You Again", "7 Things", as well as a soundtrack song "I Thought I Lost You" garnered multiple nominations. Cyrus' solo music work has been nominated for Golden Globe Awards, MuchMusic Video Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards, among others. Cyrus' also has an extensive filmography, starring in her 3D concert film, Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert (2008), the animated film Bolt (2008), Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009), and her coming of age film, The Last Song (2010).
