Critical alignment through Parallax Induction

A method for generating an autostereoscopic display from source images with parallax differences which includes acquiring a first parallax image and at least one other parallax image. At least a portion of the first parallax image may be aligned with a corresponding portion of the at least one other parallax image. Alternating views of the first parallax image and at least one other parallax image may be displayed.

Uses: Critical alignment is the basis of the Parallax Image Display (PID™) software tool set which is produced by Vision III Imaging, Inc. The PID Extractor software has been developed as near time post processing application to extract parallax three-dimensional data from an image stream. It is a value added process for combat users, motion imaging analysts, target analysts, and force protection security centers.
