The end of history Some marks on paper, rocks have lasted hundreds or even thousands of years. The invention of printing allowed information to be replicated and published with greater ease. With the digital age ( starting around the late 70s) information started to be created, distributed and stored electronically. Even now, some of the early storage formats are hard to use because compatible reading devices are no longer made. So in 10, 100, 500 years how much of today's digital information will be available?

Legacy At some time we become aware of our real mortality. Although I had had a video camera for around 8 years, when my mother died in 1988, I realized I had no video of her. So now I think about what I will leave behind. The most enduring references will be government records such as Patents of which I currently have four.
