Dr.F.Lederer is the abbreviation of "Dr.phil. (i.e. Ph.D.) Friedrich Lederer, Naval Captain ret., Physicist. I promoted in Japanology at Munich-University in the year 2002 after my retirement. I spent approximately five years of my life in Japan altogether, private stays and on duty. My doctoral thesis has been published 2003 under the title: "Diskurs über die Wehrhaftigkeit einer Seenation Kaikoku Heidan von Hayashi Shihei", Iudicium, Munich, ISBN3-89129-686-X. It is the first translation of this remarkable work into a foreign language with extensive commentaries. I still am working on articles concerning Japanese history.
