Biography[edit]
Edison Go Tan is the owner and leader of coretechnique systems. He was born in Manila on September 10, 1985. He finished High School at Philippine Cultural High School (now known as Philippine Cultural College) and he finished his college with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He was engaged in IT research and development since 2002. He founded coretechnique in the year 2003 with more than 40 members working to build the internet's next big thing. He loves to go to beach and go malling with friends.
Projects[edit]
He was involved in several projects for the government and the community. Since Mr. Tan is a Java, PHP and .NET programmer, majority of his projects are built with those technology. 90% of his projects are built using PHP while 7% goes to Java and the rest goes to Microsoft .NET.
Companies[edit]
Mr. Tan already worked for several companies including Intellectual Property Ventures Group (IPVG), Java Business Resource Center (JBRC) and many more before joining National Broadcasting Network in 2007. He is currently teaching in De La Salle Araneta University and St. Scholastica's College Manila and managing an IT team worldwide.
Initiative[edit]
Campaign for the official nominee of the Philippines to the New 7 Wonders of Nature is one of his largest initiative. With the support of Mayor Edward S. Hagedorn of Puerto Princesa, he leads the team that handles the worldwide campaign for Puerto Princesa Underground River. Puerto Princesa Underground River is now one of the finalist in the said search.
Mr. Tan also supports the open source community with some of his projects. He is an active member of PHP User Group Philippines and a volunteer for Software Freedom Day Philippines.
Interest[edit]
In spite of his hectic schedule, Mr. Tan still manages to do some other activities like malling and sports. He is good in badminton and bowling. He also loves swimming.
Places Visited[edit]
Edison loves to travel. He already visited Iloilo, Davao, Subic, Bataan, Puerto Princesa, Cebu, Baguio, Pangasinan, Naga and more cities locally. South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and China are some of the countries he visited internationally.
