!-- EDIT BELOW THIS LINE --> Everton Smith is the Sous chef de Cuisine for the Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas. Originally from a humble surrounding in the rural part of Jamaica. Everton was born in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, on the 31st of May, 1972; to mother Mabelline White & Wilisford Smith (deceased) He was the first Child for his dad, and first boy for his mother, who had 4 girls before him. His creativeness start at an early age where he use to pieces of wood to build make sift carts, which would be use to transport items, such as water, logs etc. Everton attended Chudliegh green pasture basic, onto Christiana leased primary school, where he won a scholarship for Knox College high school. He was not as successful there, hence moving to Spalding’s high which he then attended for a year and dropped out. It was then he decided to take up a career in construction. In 1992 Everton migrated to the Bahamas to live with his aunt Annetta Rahming (deceased), were he developed a passion for cooking. His first job was with a retired Australian Army general, at a restaurant call the billabong. It was located in the heart of the city Nassau, serving Australian other English dishes. Soon he move on to the Blue Marlin , which was a popular restaurant on Paradise Island, Sandals Royal Bahamian , Provence Restaurant, The to the Atlantis Hotel on Paradise Island . By then Everton has met his wife Molinda Smith, started a family, with the creation of four kids Justin, Janique, Jordon & Janiah Smith. Very hard working and not afraid to put in the hours, Mr. Smith started as a cook at the hotel and has climb his way up the ladder to a Sous Chef De Cuisine . He has worked with the popular Carmines restaurant, Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay`s Mesa grill, and now Celebrity Chef Todd English Olives restaurant. It is His dream to one day open a restaurant that will serve as a testimony to his love for the culinary industry!
