Big Byte Room (shorten BBR[1]) was an unofficially[2] Slovak video game developer created in July 2016 and founded by young game developer Samuel Smerek. The company developed a game called Dots&Bots. The BBR[1] was dissolved in January 2017.

History[edit]

July 2016[edit]

Company was created by Samuel Smerek and had group of 3 people at the start. At the end of the month they started to design their first game called Dots&Bots and published first developer's blog about game scratches.

August 2016[edit]

Markus Novotný joined company in position of sound engineer (later forum support operator). Company published own website and forum.

September 2016[edit]

Started game server for testing purposes. The company decided to publish game for closed group of people at the last week of the month and started to send invitations. The reason was test server performance and search for bugs.

January 2017[edit]

BBR[1] disappear from public servers for unknown reason and nobody knows if the company still exists.

Team[edit]

Samuel Smerek[edit]

Owner and creator of the company. His positions in team were programmer and forum support operator.

Peter Čobrda[edit]

Was part of company creation. His positions in team were game designer and artist.

Richard Lipták[edit]

Joined right after the company was created. His position in team was game tester.

Markus Novotný[edit]

Joined in August 2016 as sound engineer. In October 2016 his position has been changed to forum support operator.
