Christopher John Vantress, better known as Grand NOBLE (born on May 17, 1987 in San Francisco, California), is an American rapper and member of the West Coast hip hop group Grand Angel.

Music career[edit]

After releasing his debut 7 Deadly Sins EP, Grand NOBLE teamed up with Wade Wilson (better known as Archangel) to form the group Grand Angel. The duo released two mixtapes[1], and then their debut group album Dark End Of The Stage.[2] Most notably, the album features acclaimed Los Angeles rapper 2Mex (of The Visionaries) on the song "Western Theatre.[3]

The group credits their big break into the industry as opening for Dilated Peoples and The Visionaries at L.A.'s 2007 AutoCRAVE Car Show[4] inside the famous Pomona Fairplex.

Grand NOBLE released a consistent string of digital EP's from 2009 to 2013, both as a solo artist and as Grand Angel. Their 2010 release Melody Of Emotions (entirely produced by French producer DJ Tesskoi) was crowned Top 5 by (now defunct) mixtape website ThatCrack.com[5]. After releasing their sophomore album Nothing's Ever Easy, the group won 1st Place in the Sean Divine Artist Contest[6] for their music video for "Higher" featuring Lady Socratez.

Christopher Vantress is labeled Executive Producer on El Tumi's album One Tumi (2011) and on FinnDaCrook's album Journey (2014).
