My name is Jay. I am a 58 year old photographer.
I have just returned from an eight month long RV tour of twenty-six of our United States.
It was a tour that began in California, and going around the country in a circle across the southern states, across to Florida, up the east coast, across the northern tier states to South Dakota, and then proceeding down through the western states, back to California.
My trip covered nearly eight thousand miles, twenty-six states, one hundred three cities, ninety-three RV park/campgrounds, approximately $6,000.00 in fuel costs, 56,000 photographs, and nearly fifty hours of video.
I am now compiling those photos into a one-hundred image portfolio, with the intent to persuade a gallery to show my work. Many of my photos will be displayed on my web-site.
During the course of this trip, I developed a style of imagery that I think deserves its own classification, or category as listed here on WikiPedia.
The purpose of my writing here is to request any help that I may receive to accomplish this effort, i.e., recognizing and creating the "classification" or "category".
I have not yet posted any of my work here in WIKI, due to my desire to not want to violate any of the "guidelines" that I have read here so far regarding "self-promotional" material.
It is however my desire to submit an article describing the style, and a few examples (3) which would define that style.
Any assistance that anyone may offer in helping me to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.
