Biography[edit]

I am an archivist and curator based in the far north of Scotland, working for Timespan[1] and Groam House Museum.[2]

I received a PhD from the University of Glasgow in 2013 with a thesis entitled The Creation of "Ancient" Scottish Music History, 1720-1838.[3] I received the degree of MMus in musicology from the University of Glasgow in 2008 with a dissertation entitled Music in Scotland before the Mid-Ninth Century: an Interdisciplinary Approach.

Interests[edit]

I am interested primarily in contributing to Wikipedia articles relating to:

  • Scottish music history
  • The Celtic revival
  • Historiography

In addition, I'm interested in what Wikipedia reveals about the twenty-first-century writing of Scottish history.
