Pattern atom theory[edit]

Pattern atom theory explains brain functions in animals, requiring only very simple elements. By storing, matching and using hierarchical, bidirectional linkset patterns, even the automatic learning of human languages can be explained. This theory has been used to match some previously problematic English expressions and, in so doing, identify the word, phrase and clause elements for computer-based use. This theory will be interesting to those in Artificial Intelligence (AI) fields, including neuroscience, linguistics, computer science, philosophy and psychology. The capabilities of this theory has shown prototypes that can automate translation, disambiguate word senses, generate and simplify phrases and so on: areas that are of interest to the cognitive sciences.
