RAD Technology is a developer of radiation shielding for cancer treatment centers, and of methods for the construction of modular treatment facilities.
Modular Cancer Treatment Centers[edit]
In addition to developing radiation shielding, RAD Technology also holds a patent on the rapid assembly of modular, portable radiology centers.[1]
RAD Technology's modular centers have been deployed at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, England, and the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, and allow for large cancer treatment equipment such as linear accelerators to be easily replaced.[2] The Mount Vernon Cancer Centre houses the first such facility in Europe, and the first built off-site.[3]
Most recently, they completed the construction of the new Radiation Oncology/PET-CT Center at the Moores Cancer Center in La Jolla, California.[4]
