Hello!

Kilopylae is a quotation from Phillip Reeve's Railhead: "Raven smiled. 'When I was a boy, we called it "Kilopylae". That means "the thousand gates" in one of the languages of Old Earth. That was the ancient name for it, the Guardians' name. It seems to have fallen out of fashion now.'"

On Wikipedia, Kilopylae concerns themselves largely with trying to improve the style of its prose, especially in lede sections. These efforts have been dismissed online as "disgusting".[1] They have also written a small selection of articles themselves.

Other notable contributions[edit]

  • I am the reason the lede of SARS-CoV-2 mentions the name "human coronavirus 2019 (HCoV-19 or hCoV-19)"
  • Rewrote the lede of Homestuck to avoid calling it just a "webcomic" in wiki-voice
