Kris Sinclair (born 13th April 1989) is an active youth volunteer in Scotland. He is the Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYP) for the Renfrewshire constituency of West Renfrewshire. Also he is the Chairperson of the Renfrewshire Youth Voice (RYV), a youth forum based in Renfrewshire.
Youth Parliament[edit]
Kris Sinclair was first elected to the Scottish Youth Parliament as a result of a by-election on 13th February 2006 at a Renfrewshire Youth Voice meeting. He took over the place of the former MSYP who had resigned and continued on to complete their term until 1st April 2007 when the next term began. Kris won his first public election in 2007 gaining a seat in Paisley South on 19th April 2007.
When Kris took over the West Renfrewshire seat he became a member of the Sport and Leisure committee of the Scottish Youth Parliament and continued until the SYP Annual General Meeting where he switched to External Affairs.
Renfrewshire Youth Voice[edit]
Kris began going to RYV meetings in late 2005 when it was formally known as "MSYP Support Group" before later being named Renfrewshire Youth Voice. On 27th April 2006 the Renfrewshire Youth Voice held their first Annual General Meeting where Kris was voted the first ever Chairperson elected by the membership. He was again re-elected at the RYV Annual General Meeting on 17th April 2007.
