Laurie Ferguson, Psy.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Atascadero, California. Her doctoral dissertation was Trickster Shows The Way: Humor, Resiliency and Growth in Modern Native American Literature. She obtained her undergraduate education at the California State University, Chico. She is a direct descendant of Francis Scott Key, a distant cousin of F. Scott Fitzgerald, and a direct descendant of founders of the Santa Barbara Mission. She is Native American of the Pomo and Concow tribes of California, and a registered member of the Round Valley Indian Tribes of the Round Valley Reservation, a sovereign nation of confederated tribes.
