Who I am or was

I used to work in medical education in the United Kingdom. I am not a doctor.

Sock (non-evil)

This account was the legitimate second account of another editor who has been around rather longer than it looks here. This account existed for reasons of personal and professional privacy, per WP:SOCK#LEGIT.

WP:SOCK#NOTIFY says that users "should consider notifying a checkuser or members of the arbitration committee if they believe editing will attract scrutiny".

In other words it does not appear to be a firm requirement. I was not sure about attracting scrutiny - this account was pretty small fry compared to a lot of what goes on around here! - but I did consider it and I thought it was a good idea, on general principle, anyway. So I emailed ArbCom with the exciting details.

Retired

I did not require this second account after August 2013; actually I had not used the account for some time before that.

I am now therefore permanently retiring it and have emailed Arbcom to say so; I am sure that they are really interested!

I am continuing to edit from my main account.

Please don't bother to interact with this account; I assure you that it is well and truly gone.
