Dr. Vince Bertram has served as the chief executive officer and president of Project Lead The Way since 2011[1]. He has served as the education expert for U.S. Department of State's Speaker and Specialist Program since 2014[2][3]. He was appointed to the congress-authorized STEM Education Advisory Panel in 2018 by the National Science Foundation (NSF), in consultation with the Department of Education, NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. In 2015, Vince was appointed by Governor Mike Pence to serve on the Indiana State Board of Education and was reappointed by Governor Eric Holcomb[4]. Vince currently serves on the Olin College of Engineering President's Council[5]. Vince was named a "Distinguished Hoosier" by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, and he was given the "Intellectual Contributions and Faculty Tribute" [6] award by his colleagues at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Education Vince holds an Ed.D, MS, Ed.S, and BS degrees from Ball State University[7], a master’s degree in education policy and management from Harvard University, and MBA degrees from Georgetown University and ESADE Business School. He also earned an executive certificate in strategy and innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and is an alumnus of the Chicago Management Institute at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. In 2013, the Milwaukee School of Engineering honored Vince with an honorary doctoral degree, and in 2017, Ball State University awarded him their highest award bestowed upon alumni, the “Distinguished Alumni Award”. In 2018, Vince received the National Instruments Innovations in STEM Award.

Vince is the author of two New York Times bestselling books, which are “Dream Differently: Candid Advice for America’s Students[8]” and "One Nation Under-Taught: Solving America’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Crisis[9].” Vince has also been been published by the Huffington Post[10], Medium[11], and other national publications, such as The New York Times[12].
