Lost Gold Records[edit]

Lost Gold Records are purveyors of rare music. Lost Gold Records first release was in 1987 in Ridgeway, SC.

Lost Gold also has the famous V-Disc Collection. The V-Discs were started at the depth of World War II. The American Federation of Musicians went on strike to seek royalties from the record companies to finance an unemployment fund to compensate musicians who lost work because of competition from recorded music. The strike went on for more than a year, reducing the production of new commercial recordings. The strike also cut off the supply of recordings to the troops overseas. Robert Vincent, a sound engineer and a lieutenant assigned to the radio section of the Army of Special Services Division, approached the War Department with the idea of approval from Washington and was transferred to the music section of Army Special Services, where the V-Disc program began. Some of the V-Disc artists include: Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday and Glenn Miller.

The primary genres range from Pop to Country. They have some of the pioneers of country music including Patsy Cline and Ernest Tubb. Lost Gold also has a giant selection of Holiday music. They have many holiday records by artists such as Bob Gallo and Charlie Miller. As well as, an extensive Patriot Music Collection. Including the Liberty I and II albums and Day of decision by Johnny Seay.
