- Continuing Education I attend continuing legal education seminars on the topics of law and technology and emerging areas of law, along with the more traditional areas of family law, litigation, personal injury and bankruptcy. I always exceed the required number of continuing education hours.
Example Cases Sample Bankruptcy Case: A client called me unable to sleep and afraid to answer the telephone. She disclosed that other attorneys were either impersonal, did not listen well, or had fees that were out of reach. We got to work right away. I contacted the creditors that were harassing the elderly client and got them to stop calling the same day we met. We walked the client through the process and were able to file a bankruptcy in 48 hours, making sure to save the client's home along the way. Our general practice firm has now represented 3 of the former client's 4 children in some capacity.
