I'm a long time fan of Wikipedia and even direct many of my students to various Wikipedia pages. Sometimes the students complain that "Wikipedia is not a valid college reference" but I think it is phenomenal at relaying peer-reviewed material. With that being said, I have just started to try and be a part of the editing process. I'm hoping that with some experience I can more effectively re-assure them that Wikipedia is in fact peer-reviewed and that most of its scientific information can be trusted just as much as any printed textbook. Please feel free to comment if you disagree! MRDubay 23:39, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
