Donald Shomette is director of Cultural Resource Management, a historical consultant for the US Navy and the National Geographic Society, and a former staff member for the Library of Congress. 10525 Ward Rd., Dunkirk, MD 20754 He is also an author on the topic of the pirates on the Chesapeake and has appeared on a History channel documentary about the pirates on the Chesapeake. He has one son named Kyle Shomette and a wife named Carol Shomette. He also has three grandchildren named Lanie Shomette, Julian Shomette, and Tristan Shomette. He is currently working on a new mystery novel that may be adapted into a movie.
