Hello. I'm Marc Thomas. I am a political science faculty member at Lansing Community College, where I teach American Political Systems, Public Policy, and State & Local Government. I coordinate global education for the LCC, including our Asian study-abroad program, the Japan Immersion. I also led students on an Asian politics course in Japan for Michigan State University in 2011 and 2013 to better understand the people and politics of Japan.

My home is East Lansing, Michigan and I am active in politics. In 2013, I conducted an extensive tour of New Orleans research facilities, on a quest for primary-source documents related to Louisiana political history. I was an elected Ingham County Commissioner for several years, but gave that up for Lent in 2009.
