Hello WikiWorld[edit]

Welcome to My Userpage. There's nothing much here yet because I'm a pink and squeaky newcomer; I'm also studying hard for exams for the next month, hence there won't be much in the way of general contributions until January! --»»» M ª ««« 19:50, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Without a doubt, Wikipedia and it's sister projects represent some of the best the internet has to offer. I'm a regular reader and use it for all manner of research, just like many many millions of others. I have no plans (or time) to become a major editor, but it seems only right that where I can contribute, I should.

About this user[edit]

I'm an eighteen year old student in the United Kingdom, studying geo-politics, humanities, economics and sociology. I'm currently undertaking my second year of Advanced Level Qualifications.

Topics I plan to contribute to[edit]

Expanding International topics - All too often on the English Wikipedia, there is an unbalanced American emphasis. Being as I am, from England, I hope to expand the UK's dynamic in any areas I come across where such expansion is due.

  • Filmography, and Summaries - Some of these are sorely lacking - especially the structure and style of plot summaries which are poorly written and far from the comprehensive standard Wikipedia upholds elsewhere.
  • Plot summarisations from Books - I'm an avid reader of all books and I'm a contributor on Wikibooks and Wikiquote. Wikipedia's book pages are lacking due to the legacy of some titles and considerable backlog of articles. Hopefully I can help out here and there.
  • Other Author's pages - For instance, Bill Bryson's, who is a very interesting man and deserves a much better article.
  • General Spelling and structural formatting issues.
  • Expanding Stubs. - In particular my own school's page, which I'm taking on as a personal project. My aim is no remove stub status by early 2008.

Notes to self - please find a mo to add to this page and link to my contributions etc!)
